About Hazel Winters

Hazel Michelle Winters was born to her mother Marie Michelle Winters and father Jason Eric Winters along with her twin sister Kira Maria Winters, Marie died after giving birth to the younger twin Kira and Kira died just two days after. Growing up with just her father was great she got everything she wanted and was never without the only drawback was her father couldn’t cope very well alone.

By the age of four Hazel was pretty much looking after herself when she went into her fathers study one night and found him hanging by his neck she knew that he had done what she had over heard him talking about he had committed suicide because he couldn’t take the stress, Hazel quickly realised and called the police then grabbed her teddy and sat curled up in the corner when the police had cleared out Barty Crouch from the ministry of magic was in the study Hazel couldn’t believe her eyes when he spoke to her she was even more shocked she looked at him confused “me I am to protect Harry Potter?” she sighed “if that’s what my father wanted” Barty disappeared as Hazels Aunt Ellie came in she was the only muggle in the family and she hated the fact that Hazel’s mother had been a witch and she hadn’t she often took this out on Hazel making sure she forgot all about the fact that she had magic.

When Hazel turned eleven her acceptance letter to Hogwarts came through the letter box Hazel just looked at it and read it over and over she was so confused when her aunt saw the letter she got a smile and took Hazel to diagon alley to buy her things.

Year One When Hazel first arrived at Hogwarts everything was new to her she had only just found out about her being a witch when she was shoved into this magical world, while waiting to go into the great hall Hazel met Hermione and they instantly didn’t like each other although Hazel had never really hated anybody she knew her and Hermione were not going to get along, Once in the great hall Hazel stood patiently after all the final names were being called she smiled her name echoed through the hall as she stepped up to the sorting hat it was placed upon her head for less than a second when the hat shouted out “SLYTHERIN!!” Hazel sighed she knew she would be put into Slytherin but she needed to be in Gryffindor she took a seat at the Slytherin table and waited until the feast had started. When the feast started Hazel went and spoke to the Professor Dumbledore who decided under the circumstances she was better of in Gryffindor this is where she first met Harry. During her first flying lesson Hazel picked everything up instantly and was a natural flyer this earned her a close friendship with Oliver Wood.

Year Two With non-Purebloods being petrified Hazel needed to keep a closer eye on Harry she decided it was time to make friends with the Famous Harry Potter, she did so easily when she tried out for the Quidditch team making it as backup for both Harry and Oliver, When Hazel tried out and got these positions she was more than happy as she never wanted to replace Oliver. Her second year was when she first met Draco Malfoy he had complimented her on her flying Skills at Quidditch practice but told her she was making a big mistake making friends with Harry. Hazel immediately fell for Draco although she was not a mean person and she didn’t agree with how he treated others there was something about Draco that made her heart melt.

Year Three Because of a late arrival Hazel was unable to board the Hogwarts Express and had to be apparated to Hogwarts this was a different thing for Hazel and she arrived almost an hour half before the others after unpacking she made her way to the entrance hall to wait for the others as Ron Hermione and Harry headed towards her she noticed the concerned look on both Ron and Hermione and immediately asked Harry what was going .. he told her about Sirius escaping Azkaban to kill him Hazel took off she went and spoke with the head master who had confirmed that he had escaped she also asked if Harry had been told that Sirius was his godfather the headmaster merely shook his head and said “something are better left untold” hazel nodded and took her seat at the Gryffindor table as the other students filled the hall. For most of the year Hazel avoided actually face to face meeting with Harry and merely kept her distance so she didn’t let slip.

Year Four During the Tri Wizard Tournament Hazel concentrated on making more friends in the wizardry world she soon became friends with Seamus one of Harry’s room mates, Neville Longbottom another of Harry’s room mates, Ronald Weasley often called Harry’s sidekick but really one of his best friends, Viktor Krum one of the other champions, Fleur Delacour, Fred and George Weasley, Ginny Weasley and Cedric Diggory she did help Harry with the tournament a little but left most of it up to his best friends Hermione and Ron. When Harry had won the Tri-Wizard cup she put together a surprise party for him and the people of his choosing these people included Hermione, Ron, Fleur, Krum, Seamus, Dean, Ginny, Fred and George.

Year Five Hazel’s fifth year was probably her best year not only did she meet April in Diagon Alley but she also surpassed Hermione as the smartest witch in her year. Hazel met April in Olivanders where April was buying her first wand and Hazel was replacing hers they instantly clicked and became friends once they were at Hogwarts Hazel and April were inseparable you rarely saw one without the other As the year went on and Harry thought he was becoming like Voldermort and the Visions started pouring into his sleep Hazel spent night and day researching and thinking about the events trying to figure it all out in the end she did but it was too late Harry had already taken his group to the ministry of magic to rescue “Sirius” when they got back and Hazel had told Harry how she had worked out she was awarded 25 points for Gryffindor and smartest student of her year award.

After Hogwarts After graduating from Hogwarts Hazel went on to become a vet for magical creatures and an actress for muggles she often fount it difficult to juggle both jobs plus have a life plus make time for April too but somehow she knew she would manage
